We worked closely with Pauline Chia from your team to locate an apartment for 1-2 years in Singapore. We were relocating from Bali for a new job in Singapore and needed someone with a lot of experience and local knowledge to find us the best places that met all of our requirements.

We let Pauline know that we were looking for an apartment at a specific price range that would allow dogs and would be near areas where we could walk them and have access to green space.

Pauline was very receptive to all of our suggestions and made a list of requirements and confirmed all of them with us before she began her search. We told her what days we would be able to come to Singapore to begin looking at apartments and she made sure to have a long list ready for our inspection. She was extremely generous with her time and made sure to drive us everywhere herself to ensure we could optimize our short time in town and have her insights into each neighborhood as we traveled.

Pauline found opportunities for rental in all of the neighborhoods we suggested and then added some of her favorite areas to the list based on our apartment preferences. In a short two day period we saw almost a dozen places and based on her recommendations we submitted an offer to the best option on the list to ensure we would be first in line for consideration. While this was quite fast, it proved to be a great strategy as we were able to secure that apartment that was first on our list at the great price she negotiated.

We were very happy to work with her since she fought for us to get the best deal not only in price but also in the start date for the rental contract. After we found the apartment and signed the lease she did not stop working for us. She continued to negotiate throughout the review process to ensure that our 30 day inspection was completed with all problems addressed. She also checked in with us afterwards to make sure there were no other items remaining. In fact, two months after our lease began she was still working to negotiate some last minute requests for repairs and adjustments. She is a very tough negotiator and we were so glad she was on our side and not the landlords! 🙂

Pauline is a great real estate advisor and we would recommend her to anyone looking to relocate to Singapore for the first time. She has great knowledge of the city, a great feel for each neighborhood and is able to provide insight into laws and practices that a newcomer may not understand. She is a really fun person to travel around with and we enjoyed all of our time spent with her. We will recommend her to friends and acquaintances who may be looking for similar services.
